Lunera Overview

Lunera was founded in 2009 to design, manufacture and sell LED lighting solutions for existing commercial and industrial (C&I) facility retrofits. It built it’s success on innovations that simplified the retrofit process, increased device reliability and improved return on investment, thereby accelerating the conversion of C&I properties to LED.

Today, Lunera remains a recognized leader in LED retrofit lighting but has also emerged as a smart lighting innovator focused on delivering simple, affordable and highly differentiated software solutions for LED lighting OEMs.

The company’s Lunera Smart Lighting Platform consists of a Smart Module integrated into LED lighting products, Smart Accessories including wireless switches and occupancy sensors and an open and secure, cloud-connected, IoT software platform and apps marketplace. This integrated solution for LED lighting and networked lighting controls delivers enhanced energy management, enables indoor real-time location-based services, and deploys an universal IoT gateway infrastructure.

Lunera promotes the Smart Lighting Platform as an open standard by licensing the Smart Module design to LED lighting manufacturers, enabling them to offer networked lighting controls and cloud connectivity, and offering APIs to third-party software developers that can take advantage of the infrastructure for context/location aware location services
